SCHÖNAU helps people in need.
The plight of many people, including those in our city, has prompted management to completely forgo Christmas gifts for our customers and business partners starting this year and to donate the equivalent amount to a charitable organization. We chose the MAhLZEIT day center for the homeless, which is located not far from our headquarters in Hamburg-Altona.
A check for €1,500 and a small van full of various in-kind donations—such as dog food, clothing, bags, and gifts from our suppliers—rounded out the visit before Christmas. The joy and outpouring of support were so great that this one-time initiative is now set to become a lasting partnership. All employees can now donate clothing they no longer need, personal care products, and other urgently needed items that make everyday life easier. A large collection container is ready and waiting!
