Description

The empty roll containers (RCs), which arrive in waves at the loading ramp, are cleared of any residual material and temporarily stored.

Once the intermediate storage area is full, subsequent RC units are manually nested inside one another to save space and then loaded onto the conveyor system. There, the RC units are stored in groups and transported via an automatic vertical conveyor to a higher storage level, where they are stored in blocks by hand.

As soon as there is a need for RC units again, the system’s transport direction is reversed, and the RC units in the system (up to 72 units) are immediately available on the loading ramp.
