The Customer

Bito-Lagertechnik is a leading manufacturer of racking systems and has built a complete shipping and distribution center for the service provider Schnellecke at the BMW-Ergolding logistics facility. The two freight elevators were designed to supply two large picking levels with bulky, oversized components.

Execution​

Two identical electromechanically driven freight elevators mounted directly to a picking platform within a self-supporting shaft frame. Equipped with a frequency-controlled bevel gear motor. Access to the car is provided by vertical slatted doors that open across the full width of the car (4,000 mm).

Design Details

A unique feature is a radio remote control that operates on a per-level basis and can perform loading and unloading as well as retrieval and dispatch functions. This allows the system to be operated without having to get off the forklift or similar vehicle.

Control

Each of the units has a separate microprocessor control system, which is mounted in floor-standing cabinets directly on the unit.
