Empty Container Sorting Systems

There are many different ways to sort crates and boxes. Here are some examples!

Product sorting is both the process and the result of picking and organizing, and it places a wide variety of demands on conveyor systems in internal logistics.

In recent years, we have increasingly focused on the sorting of beverage lists and have developed various system concepts in this segment.

When sorting, we distinguish between:

Simple Sorting Spinners

Manual loading and unloading of the crates onto the rotating conveyor (e.g., a roller conveyor with two 180° curves). Sorting is done by manually selecting items and placing them on, for example, pallets that have been provided.

Sorting Plant

Feeding (automatically or by gravity) the unsorted crates to a central feeding station. Manual feeding of the crates onto the sorting line, with possible pre-sorting onto two different downstream conveyor systems. Manual removal of crates from the roller conveyor and transfer to pallets, crate chutes, or flow racks.

Automatic Sorters

Automatic or manual feeding of the crates onto a conveyor belt. Product recognition through identification (e.g., a camera system). The crates are discharged by pneumatic pushers or electric-motor-driven discharge units onto downstream sorting conveyors (see sorting system) or automatic crate stackers.

The decision regarding which system is suitable for your specific application depends on factors such as, among others:
