If the outdoor elevator is planned to be installed in a shaft frame with weatherproof cladding, we will supply this directly from our own production facilities. In industrial elevator construction, this typically involves a mounted insulated cladding.
If the outdoor elevator is planned to be installed in a shaft enclosure with weatherproof cladding, we will supply it directly from our own production facility.
In industrial elevator construction, primarily with a surface-mounted insulated cladding. We provide the structural engineering documentation required by the authorities for this purpose.
Unlike the standardized profiles for indoor use , the shaft frame for outdoor use is manufactured as a welded/bolted structure. The shaft frame is typically delivered fully hot-dip galvanized. Depending on the installation site, size, and space requirements, it is delivered as a complete, ready-to-install unit or in a segmented design. Cladding is installed immediately after assembly and is included in our service. Please note that outdoor elevator shafts must also be equipped with a suitable shaft ventilation system.
Insulation panels
Typically, quick-install insulation panels with concealed fasteners are used in thicknesses of 80 mm or 100 mm. The building perimeter joints at the floor, corner, and roof areas are generally formed using edge profiles made of galvanized sheet steel with a surface coating customized to the customer’s specifications.
Panel Design
The scope of work for the cladding includes enclosing the shaft frame, installing a roof with a rain gutter and downspout, cladding the base, and connecting it to the building using cladding panels. Site-specific requirements include, among others:
- Suitable Substrate/Foundation
- Connection point for water drainage, if applicable
- Wall openings
- Fire Safety
They are typically installed vertically. They are available in various RAL colors.
- RAL 9001 Cream White
- RAL 9002 Gray-White
- RAL 9006 White Aluminum
- AL 9010 Pure White
Of course, other RAL colors are available upon request for an additional charge.
The wall panels have a micro-ribbed surface on the outside, while the thicker roof panel has a trapezoidal surface to provide greater rigidity.
