Project Description

The rapidly expanding production facility in Tornesch with large production halls and several automated high-bayssn for small load carriers and pallets expanded the previously cramped area for goods receiving and shipping with a large-scale storage platform. The newly gained space will via two vertical conveyor systems with sorting and storage functions for pallets and a direct connection to the automated small-parts warehouse (AKL) to create a efficientn link between the shipping docks and the existing—some of which we have previously supplied— warehouse logistics—some of which we had previously supplied—without disrupting existing processes or unnecessarily taking up space.

Technical Specifications

• Goods receipt near the loading dock with ground-level loading for forklifts and hand pallet trucks on the ground floor and on the platform, with the option to transfer goods to the high-bay warehouse in duplex mode
• Vertical conveyor in the goods receiving area with a tiltable roller conveyor to adapt to the downstream gravity conveyor system
• Two transfer carts on the stage with an inclined roller conveyor for distributing the pallets to gravity buffer sections
• Central vertical conveyor for the goods-out area, with the capability to feed order-picked items retrieved from the high-bay racks via a travel carriage in duplex mode.
• Max. pallet weight: 500 kg, max. pallet height: 2.6 m
