STAMAG Stadlauer Malzfabrik GesmbH, Vienna

Vertical conveyor system connecting the raw materials warehouse to the production area.

Customer Description

STAMAG Stadlauer Malzfabrik GmbH in Vienna is part of the Kulmbach-based IREKS Group, a leading international manufacturer of baking ingredients and malts. Using high-quality ingredients, the Vienna facility produces over 400 products, including malts, dried natural sourdoughs, and baking ingredients for bread, pastries, and fine baked goods, which are used in bakeries, pastry shops, and restaurants, as well as in breweries.

Project Description

As part of the expansion of this long-established Viennese company, the glass-walled baking ingredients production facility was built as a new part of the plant and put into operation with state-of-the-art production equipment.

To supply the production line with raw materials and packaging materials, a bidirectional vertical conveyor system was installed in the warehouse immediately adjacent to the new building. This system automatically transports pallets of raw materials loaded into the warehouse to the 1st and 2ndof the Gläserne Manufaktur, where they are made available for retrieval. Partially used pallets and similar items are returned to the warehouse via a conveyor reserved for this purpose on the upper floors; the vertical conveyor transfers them to a second-level conveyor for retrieval by forklifts in the warehouse.
